FNC's Corke Asks Obama What He Thinks About Dems Boycotting Inauguration

Rep. Dwight Evans (D-Pa.), whose district includes Penn's campus, has decided not to attend President-elect and 1968 Wharton graduate Donald Trump's inauguration this Friday.

Lewis, D-Ga., said in an interview last week that he did not view Trump as a "legitimate president" because Russian Federation "helped destroy the candidacy of Hillary Clinton".

The late-night comics on Trump's latest Twitter rant. With that in mind, I refuse to be a pawn in the president-elect's efforts to rally support from congressional Republicans.

U.S. Rep. Matt Cartwright, D-17, Moosic, declined to criticize the boycotters.

"I believe in forgiveness". "They are my friends".

In response, I think it's a mistake for more than 50 Democratic lawmakers to boycott Trump's inauguration today. There is, for example, no rule in the constitution that says a President whose election is favored by a foreign power is automatically illegitimate.

The weekend clash highlighted the sharp contrast between how many African-Americans view Trump's inauguration compared with Barack Obama's eight years ago.

All those boycotting the inauguration unambiguously defended Hillary and Bill Clinton's decision to be on Capitol Hill on Friday morning and be with Trump.

U.S. Sen. Bob Casey, also a Democrat, said he will attend. "We may have disagreed with his policies", said Collins. All I know is I'm going to be there, so is Michelle. Some people take a different approach.

"I can use all the help I can get!" "It's really up to them and their constituents".

It is unclear if Evans will be one of many Democrats participating in protests related to Trump's inauguration.

In Real Clear Politics (1/17/17), Carl Cannon and Caitlin Huey-Burns wrote of "The Danger of Delegitimizing Trump", which turned out to be a warning that there might be "long-term ramifications to these guerrilla tactics that Republicans can choose to employ the next time they lose the White House". In fact, none of the Senate Democrats said they would skip the event. "I think it's important that we show unity regardless of who the president is and what party they're from, especially on day one".

During the third presidential debate of the 2016 election cycle, president-elect Trump refused to say straight out that he would accept whatever the results of the 2016 election were, since a close finish might open the door to allegations of fraud. He respects their right to stay away. "Thereafter, I look forward to continuing to work on behalf of our district with civil rights icon John Lewis and people of good will throughout our nation in the battle for America's future".

Brooklyn congress members are following Georgia Rep. John Lewis's lead and claiming President-elect Donald Trump is not a "legitimate" president because of Russia's influence on the election.

Given his affinity for tweeting, Trump's remarks today may be closer to the 145 words George Washington uttered at his second inauguration in 1793.
