Adele Is Confirmed To Perform At The 2017 Grammy Awards

E! News noted that today it was announced that Adele would also be joining the line up. She last took home Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Record of the Year in 2012 for her album "21" and the smash single "Rolling in the Deep".

In a round-table discussion for Billboard magazine in December, show producer Ken Ehrlich all but said that both singers would be hitting the stage during the ceremony on February 12; they'll also be going head to head for the record of the year, album of the year, and song of the year awards. This will be the fourth-time that Adele will perform at the Grammys. Putting her disastrous performance behind, the 28-year-old singer will join John Legend, Metallica, Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban as performers for this year's ceremony.

More performers will be announced at a later date.

As we reported earlier this month, other confirmed acts include 10-time GRAMMY victor John Legend, eight-time GRAMMY-winning band Metallica, and seven-time GRAMMY victor and current nominee Carrie Underwood.

Ehrlich is executive producer, Louis J. Horvitz is director, Ben Winston is producer, and David Wild and Ehrlich are the writers.

The 59th Grammy Awards will be hosted by funnyman James Corden from the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Metallica and Carrie Underwood each have one nomination at the upcoming Grammy Awards, while Keith Urban now has two.
