Aaron & Jordan Rodgers' Rift Extends Beyond 'The Bachelorette,' Their Dad Confirms

A wide-ranging story published Sunday in the New York Times details how the Green Bay Packers star quarterback's rise to fame has left his relationship with his family strained.

Speaking with the New York Times, he spoke about his elder son's estrangement and suggested that it was "fame" that had caused all the differences in their household. It looks like the family feud between Jordan and Aaron Rodgers is raging on, and now their dad has spoken out about the rift.

Munn has been oft-speculated as the cause of the rift, though Us Weekly notes that there are conflicting reports about what led to the drama.

"As far as those kinds of things go, I've always found that it's a little inappropriate to talk publicly about some family matters", Aaron told ABC's WISN 12 News in Milwaukee.

Three weeks ago, Jordan, 28, and former Bachelorette JoJo, 26, traveled to the East Coast with his family, where the group enjoyed winter-themed activities together, including ice skating in ugly Christmas sweaters, pajamas and elf onesies.

The circumstances in which the family's private business became a national story were "weird", Ed Rodgers acknowledged.

Jordan, for his part, opened up to his future fiancee JoJo Fletcher on The Bachelorette. Apparently, Aaron hasn't been in much communication with his family since becoming a football star.

Aaron Rodgers, however, declined to comment on his brother's comments about the family divide and said he'd never watched Jordan on the reality show. "[But] it's good to have it all come out". He's able to take relatively unknown wideouts like Geronimo Allison and Jeff Janis and make them look great.

"It's complicated", Ed admitted, adding, "We're all hoping for the best".

Even as it became a storyline of Jordan's reality TV tenure, he seemed reluctant to get into it, and still hasn't offered many specifics.

Although Aaron had yet to meet his brother's fiancée as of last August, Jordan told PEOPLE that his older brother is "absolutely" invited to his wedding.
