"You can be held guilty of a crime. and get punished", he warned.

Warning Pakistan without taking any name, the General said Indian Government's efforts to restore peace on the border must not be viewed as weaknesses. This has forced the army chief to respond to the allegations though both the civilian and military leaderships of the country had denied any such mistreatments.

Meanwhile, addressing the Army Day function, army chief Rawat had said, "A few colleagues are using social media to share their problems".

He had also announced setting up of "suggestion-cum-grievance" boxes to enable the complainant to approach him directly.

Speaking at the event, Rawat said, "Peace across LoC is priority but will not shy away from giving befitting reply to ceasefire violations".

The Army Chief inspected a parade commanded by Maj Gen Rajesh Sahai, Chief of Staff, Delhi Area.

Siachen "miracle man" Lance Naik Hanamanthappa Koppad, who survived miraculously for six days under a huge ice-and-snow debris after an avalanche hit his post before losing life to multiple organ failure, was also posthumously awarded the Sena Medal here.
