Boy, 12, 'pulls gun on girl and demands a chicken nugget'

Police said that it was the second time the boy demanded the chicken nugget.

An East Harlem student was allegedly held at gunpoint by her 12-year-old classmate who demanded that she give him a McDonald's chicken nugget. She refused and walked away. Undaunted, the girl smacked away his gun, told the boy to leave her alone and then boarded the train.

The girl told her school what happened and police said they had taken a suspect into custody.

Police say the boy asked a 13-year-old girl for a McNugget at a McDonald's near East 103rd Street and Third Avenue on Tuesday.

But when she refused, police say he followed her to a nearby subway station and pointed a gun at her head, demanding she hand one over.

The boy allegedly followed the girl to "the 103rd St". Cops have not found the gun, which law-enforcement sources said the boy would often show off to other kids. Police didn't specify whether the weapon was recovered or if the child had been detained or released.
