Ronda Rousey's defense: missing in action

But, as Nunes lands her first jab, Tarverdyan is heard repeatedly shouting "head movement" to no avail. I don't know why he did that.

But Rousey's cash-per-second value is still absurd, especially considering the fact that she lost.

"My understanding is that perhaps Rousey didn't really spar leading up to this fight", Kenny said (transcript via Bloody Elbow).

Rousey, 29, has suffered two straight defeats – she lost her title to Holy Holm at UFC 193 – after beginning her career a flawless 12-0.

Former UFC women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey is now on a two-fight losing streak for the first time in her career.

James added, "You don't know her mindset".

Upon returning to hometown Cleveland in 2014, James instantly went from "villain" to "hero" and the basketball star wishes the same for Rousey, who is yet to declare her future plans.

Though her victory was nowhere near on the level as Nunes', Raquel Pennington also managed to pick up a big nod in the final months of the year. The 29-year old UFC star took to Twitter on December 31 to encourage Rousey advising her to give it another try.

Speaking about their relationship previously, Nunes said: "Nina is the best training partner I have in my life". "I would have liked to see her retire a long time ago". Forget about her. She has a lot of money already. She's been knocked out twice in two fights, not only showing a glaring weakness in her game but a glaring weakness in being able to correct the mistake with ample time.

"She cares DEEPLY about winning to an extent that I don't believe the average person can wrap his/her head around", De Mars wrote. "Sorry stupid people. I think she's an adult and she can make her own decisions".

"I think it's gonna take some time".

On if she feels as bad as she did after the Holm fight: "No, there's no concern about that".

UFC commentator Kenny Florian joined the cacophony of voices on his Monday night podcast when he called Tarverdyan too inexperienced to train top stars.
