New Wallpaper, Emojis, TV App And More Features Released

Apple's iOS 10.2 update brings some huge changes to the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.

Apple pushed out the first developer beta for iOS 10.2 on October 31st. For example, if you're watching one tv show on Showtime and another on Starz, both will appear in the TV app, but you'll still watch the actual content in the third-party app. Other than that, it was fairly unexciting.

iOS 10.2 is available to download now, by visiting the Settings menu. The content in the Apple TV's TV app syncs to the TV app on iOS, so you can watch your shows on the go. There are also new emojis for sports, food, animals. It also includes bug fixes that were causing problems for some users with iOS 10.1 devices. There are three new wallpapers, which you've probably already seen in iPhone 7 promotional images. There is a new widget, Siri integration, support for single sign-on, a tvOS counterpart, and more. Users can go to Settings app Photos & Camera Preserve Settings. To make unlock function the way it used to in iOS 9 head to your device's Settings- General- Accessibility- Home Button and enable "Rest Finger to Open".

The Messages app gets new Love and Celebration effects, while also fixing an issue that stopped the keyboard from displaying.

New iOs 2 emoji. This time around, you'll be able to represent more professions via emoji, including teacher, welder, coder, business worker, farmer, chef, student, mechanic, doctor/health worker, and even astronaut. This includes additional emoji, a new TV app and more.

The new TV app Apple demoed in their latest keynote is included with iOS 10.2.

iOS 10.2 introduces new features including the TV app (US Only), a new and unified experience for accessing your TV shows and movies across multiple video apps.
