Samsung Galaxy Note 7 has finally beenunveiled. Despite that, the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6 joined the Galaxy S7 Edge among the three most popular smartphones in that period.

While detailing the features of the Note 7, Samsung's vice president for strategy Justin Denison said that unlike competitors Samsung didn't think of the stylus as an accessory, a clear attack on Apple that recently launched the iPad Pro with a stylus.

The Galaxy Note 7 gets juiced by a beefier 3,500 mAh battery compared to the 2750 mAh battery of the iPhone 6S Plus. On the other foot, the Galaxy Note 7 comes with IP68 certification meaning it can survive a fleeting dunk, plus it's toughened with Gorilla Glass 5. It's compatible with Samsung's Knox security suite, while a feature called Samsung Pass allows authentication when using services such as Samsung Pay.

This is where the big differences start, since Samsung Galaxy Note 7 has doubled from its predecessor's standard 32GB storage capacity to 64GB storage.

Yesterday, the South Korean company has officially revealed its most wanted gadget of the year, the Galaxy Note 7 to the public, and finally, on the same day Samsung also revealed that it is going to sell its eyeball shaped Gear 360 Camera in U.S.A from August 19.

The retail cost of the forthcoming Galaxy Not 7 handset in Australia will be AU$1,349, which will be marginally higher than theAU$1,249 retail cost of the Galaxy S7 Edge smartphone which was launched by Samsung earlier this year.

The less expensive Galaxy J2 came in second in Strategy Analytics' research with estimated shipments of 13 million units and a 2.3 percent share of all Android phones shipped, presumably owing to its popularity in emerging markets.

With a Note 7, users will be able to take clips from YouTube or their own videos to create shareable GIFs without downloading extra software.

The Note 7 also comes with support for Samsung's improved S Pen stylus.

There is one bonus however, if you pre-order this phone Samsung will throw in a free VR headset which is worth around £100.

T-Mobile customers can buy the device for $850, while AT&T has it priced at $880, spread over its payment plans.
