3 shot outside Westfield Montgomery Mall in Bethesda; manhunt for suspect

He says there are one to three victims, but there's no word on their conditions.

The upscale mall is located in Bethesda, about 10 miles northwest of downtown Washington, D.C.

A suspect who shot at least three people at a shopping mall in the USA state of Maryland is not in custody, the Montgomery County Police Department said on its official Twitter account on Friday.

Police tweet that there are three victims, two men and a woman, but the suspect is not in custody. When she didn't answer, the man pulled a gun from a vehicle and shot the woman in the shoulder.

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue said on Twitter that several injured people were transported.
