Netflix's Luke Cage Release Date Announced at Daredevil Season 2 Premiere

Marvel has been having a great run with its shows on Netflix, with Daredevil and Jessica Jones, but Luke Cage is right around the corner - with a debut date of September 30.

Great news for Marvel fans! The streaming service announced that Luke Cage, the spin-off series based on the character in Jessica Jones, will be released on September 30th. In a video on Marvel's Daredevil Facebook page, Mr. Colter said: "It is going to be action packed from beginning to the very end, trust me".

With Marvel's Daredevil taking off on its second season this upcoming Friday, March 18th, next up on the Netflix/Marvel slate is the first season of Luke Cage. He gains super strength and unbreakable skin after an experiment goes wrong.

Fans got their first look at Cage aka Power Man in a supporting role of Marvel's Jessica Jones.
