Windows 10 Build 14279: Here Are The Issues Fixed For PC

According to reports, Microsoft is bringing its virtual assistant Cortana to Mexico, Canada (French language) and Brazil.

Microsoft's latest Windows 10 update, which was seeded to Insiders on the "fast ring" last week, aims to enhance the capabilities of Cortana. The build primarily updates Cortana, teaching her three new languages and adding the ability to set reminders. "For instance, in Brazil - Cortana is fond of paste which is a common food found in many regions across Brazil", announced Gabe Aul, Corporate Vice President, Engineering Systems Team via a blog post. My sources have said Microsoft is prioritizing and tailoring new features coming in Windows 10 largely based on what the Devices group wants and needs to showcase its hardware.

Microsoft keeps working on Cortana integration into its applications, and Edge browser is the next to receive better support for the personal assistant. Along with the PC update, the Windows 10 mobile update is also gearing up to have its release within a few days on many Lumia devices.

Additionally, Microsoft also utilised the build to enhance the login experience.

The typing experience is expected to get smoother in the new build with improved performance of IME and extended prediction content. The new Xbox update will bring along some new features including a Gamerscore Leaderboard and an updated "Featured" section. The users of the Surface Pro 3 and Surface Pro 4 have complained that many a times they are unable to use any input device on their lock screen, locking them out of their device.

Another problem concerns WiFi connectivity in that some users may be unable to connect to older WiFi networks using WEP encryption rather than WPA or WPA2.

However, as of now, Microsoft has suggested a workaround to fix the problem temporarily. The bug is also impacting older apps such as Windows Live Mail and Expression Encoder 4.
