Woman Carrying Child's Severed Head Arrested in Moscow

A woman accused of decapitating a young girl in her care before walking through the streets of Moscow brandishing the head has said "Allah ordered" the killing.
RT reported that the decapitated body of a 3 or 4-year-old child was found by firefighters responding to a blaze in an apartment near the Oktyabrskoe Pole metro station, where the women was detained.
She then pulled out the child's head and started screaming when authorities asked for identification.
The woman is thought to have been babysitting the child before killing her and setting the apartment on fire. The child was found without the head, investigators said.

The woman, dressed in a hijab, held the head of a toddler between three and four years in her hands.
Witnesses claimed that the woman, who has been identified as Uzbekistan native, Gulchekhra Bobokulova, 38, by the Interfax news agency, had shouted "Allahu Akbar" and threatened to "blow everyone up".
Local media reports she took the severed head from her bag when she was stopped by a police officer.

A statement from Pavel Astakhov, the commissioner of Russia's federal child welfare agency, makes no mention of the child's decapitation, but says there were "signs of a violent death".

The Moscow Investigative Committee said in a statement that the woman was born in "one of the Central Asian states" in 1977.
Her mother, who works nearby in a wedding shop is said to have collapsed upon hearing the news and remains unconscious in hospital.
