After months of hype and misguided controversy, the trailer for the first Ghostbusters movie in 32 years (we've all agreed to forget 1989's Ghostbusters II, right?) is here.

Director Paul Feig reunites with cast members McCarthy and Wiig after successes like Bridesmaids and Spy. We did, however, catch a quick glimpse of Chris Hemsworth, who plays a nerdy-but-under-my-glasses-I'm-really-hot secretary. Well, we finally get our look at the buzzed project as Sony Pictures has unveiled the first trailer for Paul Feig's new paranormal comedy.

The trailer for the not-a-sequel, not-quite-a-remake, don't-call-it-a-reboot Ghostbusters was released today. The Thor actor fills in the shoes for the film's original receptionist Janine Melnitz, played by Annie Potts.

"I didn't like, personally, the idea of them being handed technology, 'here's how to do this.' I wanted to see it develop", he said at a fan event Wednesday. More of an effort to be goofy and gross and all around just funnier (a problem?).

There are quite a few parallels to the original, mainly with the way the ghosts look and the green slime they spit out, but this film is much grander. I'm making a new Ghostbusters & writing it with @katiedippold & yes, it will star hilarious women.
