Kentucky Republicans to navigate uncharted territory in March 5 caucus

Most counties have a single caucus location, while some of the most populous counties have multiple locations.

The Republican State Central Committee made a historic move on Saturday, Aug. 22, 2015 at Frankfort's Capital Plaza when it decided by a 111-36 vote allowing U.S. Sen. The votes will be awarded accordingly to 40 Republican delegates.

The Republican caucus also has a low delegate threshold, meaning that as long as candidates secure 5 percent of the vote, they'll receive a portion of the state's 46 delegates.
