Clinton scores commanding win in SC

"Sanders on running a great race", Clinton said. This time, black leaders and officials largely gravitated toward her campaign ahead of the vote, though Sanders was able to pick up some support from influential black leaders. "Our grass roots political revolution is growing state by state, and we won't stop". "We're not taking anything, and we're not taking anyone, for granted".
Sanders, who finished with a mere 26 percent of the vote, found a silver lining in results in the voting of one demographic of the SC electorate.
Sanders said the only positive in SC is that he continued to perform well among younger voters. Clinton also ran better among women than men, but walloped Sanders among men as well. Yet they have not been broken or embittered.
Clinton also took a dig at Republican front-runner Donald Trump, saying, "Despite what you hear, we don't need to make America great again".
SC Gives Clinton Her Most Important Win Yet
Clinton already holds a large lead among superdelegates, the party leaders and members of Congress who can support any candidate. In her speech in Columbia, South Carolina, Clinton took aim at Trump with an effective rhetorical one-two, and indeed three-four.
"The was nothing in the national media", she said. "We need to show by everything that we do that we really are in this together". According to CNN, Clinton took over 80 percent of the state's black vote, even more than Obama, who took 78 percent of the vote back in 2008.
White voters under 45 overwhelmingly supported Sanders, but among blacks, that group went overwhelmingly for Clinton.
And while nine in 10 blacks said they trusted Clinton to handle race relations, just half trusted Sanders on this issue.
Last night's result is a blow to left-wingers after Mr Sanders electrified their debate by winning in New Hampshire and nearly managing a draw in Iowa.
Russian fans present Leonardo DiCaprio with a homemade Oscar
Come what may at the Academy Awards, Leonardo DiCaprio will have an Oscar - or at least a close replica of the coveted statue. The nominees for best supporting actor are Christian Bale, Mark Ruffalo, Sylvester Stallone , Tom Hardy and Mark Rylance.
Her victory came at the end of a day that saw Republican candidates firing insults at each other at rallies in states voting on March 1. It is part of a pitch she'll have to make to voters in the all important Super Tuesday states.
"In politics, on a given night, sometimes you win, sometimes you lose". At a campaign victory party in Columbia, supporters broke into raucous cheers as the race was called in Clinton's favor. At a rally in Minnesota tonight, Sanders said more than 800 delegates are at stake in 11 contests on Super Tuesday. Former President Bill Clinton made statements during that campaign that were seen by some, including influential South Carolina Rep. James Clyburn, as questioning the legitimacy of the black presidential contender.
"The future of the Democratic Party, the future of this country is involving young people in this process", he said.
On Saturday, some Sanders' supporters in SC said they understood the Democratic Party establishment and the odds are against them.
Syria fighting stops under ceasefire
Mazen al-Shami, the activist based in the area, said the warplanes were Russian, adding that they carried out some 60 air raids. But the World Food Program said later it faced "technical difficulties" and indicated the drop may have been off target.
Now that the Nevada caucuses and SC primary have delivered Clinton huge victories against her rival, those predictions appear to be right.
