He is said to have enrolled as Potts at the John Harris High School in Pennsylvania in 2012 after his visa to stay in the United States expired.

23-year-old Artur Samarin, who posed as a Harrisburg High School student, has now been charged with statutory sexual assault.

According to Harrisburg Police, Samarin was arrested while in prison for his sexual relationship with a 15-year-old student in 2014.

Police say he pretended to be Harrisburg High School student Asher Potts, who was in the National Honor Society.

He arrived on a three-month J1 Exchange Visitor Visa and was working for a United States company, police said. Police believe that identity was fabricated and no one's identity was compromised. When his visa expired, he requested and received a B2 Tourist Visa.
