In Virginia, It's Trump First, Then Rubio

Polls suggest Trump continues to hold a big lead in SC and in upcoming states, as Cruz works to rally the Republican Party's most conservative wing and Rubio tries to consolidate mainstream Republicans behind his candidacy.
But the CBS spread among the top three candidates is consistent with most other recent national polling, which routinely shows Trump dominating the field, and Cruz and Rubio ensconced in second and third place, respectively.
"You have been threatening frivolous lawsuits for your entire adult life".
"Even in the annals of frivolous lawsuits, this takes the cake", Cruz said. Specifically, concerning Cruz's ads alleging Trump to be a pro-choice supporter of Planned Parenthood, he admitted he hasn't always been pro-life, but that he is now: "It changed years ago and what happened is I saw things with people and people that I know and people that I respect that made me change".
New national front-runner Ted Cruz touted his pro-life record and shrugged off Donald Trump's insinuations about his eligibility for presidential office.
At some point, the Republican Party establishment will need to decide whether their interests - preventing Trump or Cruz from being the nominee - might be better served by consolidating support behind one guy.
Jeb Bush's inscribed gun hits Twitter with a bang
So many ways. "If he ends up fourth there ( South Carolina ), what justification will he have for continuing?", wrote David A. Another Twitter user pointed out the difference between Jeb and his father, former President George H.W.
"Donald Trump does not want to be under oath answering questions about his own record", Cruz said. About one-third say they would enthusiastically back Cruz (32%, down from 37% in January), and 31% say so about Rubio, about the same as in January.
Jeb Bush had been courting the governor's support and his brother, former President George W. Bush, met privately with her Monday. Cruz also called the cease-and-desist letter "illegal".
Former US president GeorgeWBush, campaigning for his brother for the first time, told a raucous crowd that Jeb has the temperament and backbone to be commander in chief.
"Marco Rubio is behaving like Donald Trump with a smile".
"It's unfortunate he hasn't gotten the traction he wanted", Cruz said, noting Rubio's fifth-place finish in the New Hampshire primary.
On Tuesday, Trump repeatedly called Cruz a liar while speaking to the media and campaigning on the trail.
Uganda election: President Museveni seeks to extend rule
Over 150,000 police, soldiers and other security forces have been deployed to ensure tight security, election officials have said. Nanteza Beatrice, 56, a fruit vendor in a Kampala market, said she believes Uganda is not ready for a post-Museveni era.
Ted Cruz is done playing nice.
Though Cruz and Rubio won't be sharing the stage Wednesday, there's plenty of opportunity for jousting.
The voters of SC will decide at their primaries on February 20.
For instance, Robert Bowles, a 50-year-old debt collector, said that Trump had gone "overboard just a little bit" the moment he attacked former President George W. Bush and claimed that the former president failed to stop the September 11 attacks and lied about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.
The governor of South Carolina, Nikki Haley, today endorsed the rival of both Trump and Cruz, Florida Senator Marco Rubio, CNN reports.
