Man with machete goes on attack in Ohio
The perpetrator has been identified by Columbus police as Mohammed Barry.
A man wielding a machete injured six in a Columbus, Ohio restaurant, reportedly after asking what the Israeli owner's nationality was.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation is assisting Columbus police in the investigation, said Supervisory Special Agent Rick Smith of FBI's Cincinnati division.
By the time it was over, four people were wounded and the attacker was dead, shot by police in a confrontation a few miles away.
Karen Bass, who told CBS affiliate WBNS-10TV that she had only been in the restaurant for about half an hour when the attack occurred, described a scene of chaos. Police tried unsuccessfully to use a stun gun on him, then shot him when he lunged at them, he said.

Men talk outside the Columbus, Ohio, restaurant where police say a man attacked several people with a machete on Thursday, Feb. 11, 2016. "He is a very patriotic family man who loves his wife and his family".
The four victims were a 54-year-old man who remained in critical condition and three 43-year-olds - three men and one woman - all of whom had injuries that were not life-threatening. A spokeswoman said Friday that the hospital had no information to release about them.
It remains unclear if the attacker targeted the restaurant because of the owner's ethnicity. The man allegedly walked into the restaurant, had a conversation with an employee and left, before returning about 30 minutes later, according to the Associated Press.
The patrons fought back and hurled chairs at the intruder, police said.

"Right now there's nothing that leads us to believe that this is anything but a random attack", Weiner added.
The FBI, which has joined the investigation, is probing whether the assault was an instance of homegrown extremism motivated by the mistaken impression that the restaurant owner was Jewish, according to NBC News.
