More than 200 Pennsylvania college students were sickened by norovirus

The Montgomery County Health Department said that a norovirus was what sickened more than 200 students, faculty and staff at Ursinus College last week.
College officials said there continues to be a significant decrease in students reporting symptoms since the illness was first reported February 9.
The Montgomery County Health Department confirmed the cases today. "Obviously, special attention is being paid to the areas where students have been sick overnight".
The school's dining hall was closed after students began complaining of vomiting, diarrhea and stomach pain Tuesday night, but it reopened after an inspection.

She added that security forces must practice restrain while dealing with civilians in such a situation. Separatists have called for shutdown against the killings.
"We will continue to be vigilant and work closely with Ursinus to focus on hygiene measures to reduce transmission", Arkoosh said.
Reports came in throughout the week of students suffering from stomach ailments, but the school announced that as of Friday, those reports were significantly dropping.
Ursinus College is working with MCHD officials to determine the cause of the illness. Officials at Ursinus say the inside of all buildings were cleaned and hand sanitizing ointment has been placed around the campus.
County officials have notified the college of the findings and indicated that Ursinus has followed all health department instructions.

In addition to this new offering, the college continues to make its Wellness Center available to students.
