Clinton walks tightrope to woo women voters

Steinem is obviously a leader in the feminist movement and a woman I deeply respect.

But they're missing the bigger point that had these women not cut a path for others to enter and expect to be treated fairly in the workplace and elsewhere, these same young women would, indeed, be following the boys in hopes of inserting an "R" between the "M" and the "S" in their titles, as their predecessors had to. Not because she's a woman and not only because she will be a formidable candidate, but because she does not believe that government is the eighth horse of the Apocalypse.

In fact, we're not too worked up about any of this. All of these women have something significant in common: They have all, at one time or another, supported a Hillary Clinton presidential bid.

Clearly, Albright and Steinem don't see it this way, possibly because the desire by second wave feminists to see Clinton in power at all costs isn't really about progress at all, but mortality. That Sanders never outgrew his own socialist-rebellious tendencies - We're going to have a revolution! - is vaguely interesting, but not his best recommendation for commander in chief, among other presidential duties.

Ms Clinton said she is running for President to knock down all the barriers that are holding Americans back, and to rebuild the ladders of opportunity that will give every American a chance to advance, especially those who have been left out and left behind.
