Opel Ampera-e To Bring Chevy Bolt Goodness To The Continent

The only unfortunate thing here is that you will need to wait a little longer before you can own and drive the Opel Ampera-e.

According to the report, the Ampera-e will offer "a greater electric range than the vast majority of electric vehicles now available in Europe".

In the United States the Chevrolet Bolt is expected to sell for around $40,000 (our money), after USA government subsidies. The same thing could happen to the taillights and there could be some minor tweaks to the bumpers as well. These figures will likely remain unchanged on the Ampera which should do around 53 miles (85 km) in the city on electric power and 420 miles (675 km) as a hybrid.

The system originally launched with a higher price tag than the PS4, and Xbox Live is also more expensive than PS Plus. But this is still something positive for Xbox One and Microsoft because it is growing its ARPU lead over Sony.

The Opel Ampera-E is more or less a Bolt EV with new badges, destined for the European market.

General Motors said it would announce further details about Ampera-e's range and price at a later date.

The Battery-powered electric vehicle Opel Ampera-e is the European version of Chevrolet Bolt. The company says the packaging of the battery allows for "a roomy interior providing comfortable seating for five passengers and trunk space comparable with that of a auto in the compact class".

Opel says that Ampera-e is equipped with a personal connectivity and service assistant named Opel OnStar and it also has other connectivity and infotainment technologies which can integrate with smartphones and other electronic devices.

The German automaker has announced it would introduce the new "Ampera-e" for European markets - which is practically the rebadged version of the Chevrolet Volt.
