Nov 17, 2015, 07:44
But Arthur has no plans on coming clean. Emma showed up with Excalibur, shocking Arthur to his evil core. However, she doesn't use it on the corrupt king. While this scares Emma, it does chip away at the walls Emma built around her emotional core. A question of Emma going back rattles the fanatics since being the daughter of Snow White, all are expecting her goodness to shine. He tries to tell her that the old her is still inside her and asks about Nimue. But when Hook uses a bit of enchantment with hisHook, Zelena instantly recognizes what is truly going on with their situation. Hook knows after centuries of being a pirate, he does not have her willpower. But Emma will refuse his help and tell him that she does not want to defeat darkness since everything will be over soon. Emma has the Spark of Prometheus, but no Excalibur. It seems to be the case where we get big, sweeping understandings of things, and then the details episode by episode in terms of how it all ties together intricately.
There seemed to be shades of "Aladdin" in last week's episode, with Merlin like the reluctant Genie, forced to do a master's bidding even when he doesn't agree with it. What kind of threat does he pose now that he's under Arthur's (Liam Garrigan) control?
Back in current-day Storybrooke, Hook goes to Rumple (Robert Carlyle) to find out more about what's going on inside Emma's head. And from there, it becomes fairly apparent what happened in Camelot.
Arthur has Emma's family-David, Mary Margaret, Hook and Regina- in captivity.
Emma gave into the darkness in order to save Killian's life, and just when you think Captain Swan couldn't get anymore heartbreaking. "No matter what you've done". Emma is fighting for that now, but she can't yet reveal how. Facing her fear was all it took for Emma to finally find the strength to let go of the darkness. She snaps out of it when Henry reveals the details of Operation Light Swan. Granted, Emma's plan for saving them both actually makes a lot of sense. Henry gave her hope. In an episode, Mr Gold hints at Emma that she would regret this.
Meanwhile in Storybrooke, something is happening with Zelena.
Will her dark plans to be explored in the rest of the season?
While the episode makes certain we understand why Emma did what she did, I liked that the script had enough trust in its audience to allow them to decide for themselves whether or not it was the right thing to do. The trio wanted to know who Nimue was - the only person they thought had the power to destroy the Dark One. The two parts of Excalibur are presented in front of her, along with the ember, and she begins to combine the pieces. "Everything I've done is to keep that future alive", she asserted... before drugging him.
Swan Queen: Regina and Emma's dynamic have certainly strengthened this season, especially in the Camelot flashbacks, so what's next for these two magic-wielding ladies?
Thanks to the fact that Regina's sister is now the baby mama of Robin's unborn child - totally normal, right? - the dynamic between these three adults is understandably linked. Emma could see her future. Kitsis laughed. "It's very much kickass team of avengers, absolutely". That confession is exactly what lights the flame. Merida's dad had an enchanted helm, and his not paying the witch who made it is why they are being threatened into becoming bears. But she didn't want the baby. In his dying moments, Hook begged Emma to not only reunite the sword and dagger to save herself, but he also pleaded with his love to let him die, knowing he couldn't handle the Darkness as she had. Still, Hook insists that Merlin can help them. Ideally, the central season-long storyline should be interwoven with a story-of-the-week. It adds a dark shade to the Fergus character, who's been portrayed as nothing but honorable by those who remember him. Hook got loose and went after Arthur, who eventually ran off with Zelena. Emma and Hook would be free to return to their normal lives, Zelena would be dead, and everyone would be happy, no?
Hook woke up beside Zelena in Emma's lair.
Emma enters to find Hook digging through her house. But before she can stop him, he uses squid ink to freeze her. Zelena re-enters the house to "make the Dark One pay". She stabs Hook in the chest with a blade - but Hook doesn't even feel the knife. Why? The way Emma saves Hook, linking him to Excalibur, means that he is also a Dark One. It turns out that he was cut by Excalibur when he attacked Arthur.
Eddy Kitsis: We'll be seeing how they know each other and what their relationship is. I can tell you it will be answered in the first hour this weekend.

In marathon tournaments like the current FIBA Americas Championship, it can be hard to play at too quick of a pace. It was on the whole perhaps the finest moment yet for Canada's second unit, which has had its share so far.
