Arrest made in Massachusetts man's death

MARSHFIELD, Mass. (AP) - Authorities say a man has been arrested on kill and burglary charges in the death of a Marshfield resident.

Plymouth County prosecutor Timothy Cruz says in a news release Sunday that DNA evidence led investigators to the suspect.

Cruz and Police Chief Phillip Tavares say James W. Ferguson of Dorchester was arrested at his home Saturday on charges in the Sept. 16 death of 43-year-old Robert McKenna.

Police say McKenna was found lying face up on his kitchen floor with cuts to his right upper arm, both hands and the back of his head. He apparently bled to death.

Authorities say the 40-year-old Ferguson, who once lived in Marshfield, is being held at the county jail on $5 million bail and is to be arraigned on Monday.
