In a minor move this morning, the Rams have agreed to terms with quarterback Kellen Clemens on a non-guaranteed contract, upgrading their depth at the position and pushing rookie Austin Davis back to the third string spot.

Clemens previously held the primary backup spot behind starter Sam Bradford, but with his previous deal calling for a $700,000 salary, St. Louis elected to release Clemens prior to the start of the season to avoid having to guarantee the entire contract for the duration of the 2012 campaign.

Headed into his seventh season in the NFL, Clemens has appeared in 24 games, completing 145 passes for 2,232 yards, seven touchdowns, and 12 interceptions.
