This has been an offseason of big names having a hard time finding work. This is the case with Ronnie Brown. Brown was signed with a base bottom contact for the Philadelphia Eagles. He got a whole $1 million for one seaon to be the backup for LeSean McCoy. Brown was once considered a good fantast option. Where does this sign leave him?
Lets be honest. Brown has not had a good game really since he went for that crazy 4 touchdown game against the Patriots. The only thing he has been good at is getting hurt. He is now in a situation where he may touch the ball at a max of 10 times in a game. This is not enough to make him worth anything. Also, he will be turning 30 during this season. This is the age that is sometimes though of running back cancer. This was nothing more than a token big name sign. Some people would think maybe a late round flyer may be a good spot for Brown. Personally, I would rather take a flyer on a player with more upside.
Bottom Line: Not worth it. You will only end up cutting him anyways. The only possible way to make sense of drafting Ronnie Brown is if you are the owner of McCoy and want to handcuff him.
