The Chiefs 31-10 victory yesterday afternoon over the visiting 49ers was a joyous three hours or so for almost everyone on the team, but there was one member that was happier to see it end than anyone else.
According to his agent, Kansas City offensive coordinator Charlie Weis underwent emergency surgery earlier today to correct a non-life threatening issue with his gall bladder.
Weis was aware of the problem since last Friday, but chose to carry on through the pain with his playcalling duties, and is expected to be recovered enough to travel with the Chiefs in two weeks, when they visit the defending AFC champions in Indianapolis.
