Season ending injuries are never easy to deal with, especially when they happen to players that have critical roles on their team.

Unfortunately for the Patriots, that’s exactly the news they received today, with versatile veteran running back Kevin Faulk expected to miss the remainder of the year with a torn ACL, according to the Boston Globe’s Shalise Manza Young.

Faulk has never been a lead rusher for New England, but his value as a blocker and outlet receiver cannot be overstated, as he’s clearly one of the league’s best at those tasks and the Patriots will undoubtedly miss him in a big way this season.
