Former Lions receiver Charles Rogers has faced more than a few problems since he was drafted second overall by Detroit in 2003, but his latest issue could end up costing him his home.

According to Jonathan Oosting of MLive.com, Rogers defaulted on the $1.04 million mortgage he took out on his suburban Detroit home, and foreclosure proceedings are scheduled to begin on October 26th.  This comes on top of being ordered to repay the Lions $6.1 million of his $9.1 million signing bonus, and multiple public intoxication charges.

Rogers played in just 14 games over parts of two seasons while compiling 35 receptions for 440 yards and four touchdowns. Injuries and suspensions for violating the league’s substance abuse policy were the biggest culprits in his short lived career.
