Thurs @ 2:17 pm – The extension will be an extra two seasons on top of Woodson’s current deal, according to ESPN. The financial aspects of the contract are still unknown.
12:42 pm – When cornerback Charles Woodson came to Green Bay in 2006, it was hard to know what to expect, given the way his career in Oakland ended.
But after four outstanding seasons with the Packers, in which he’s notched 28 interceptions, seven touchdowns, and one Defensive Player of the Year award, Green Bay’s front office has been looking to make sure that Woodson won’t be going anywhere else anytime soon.
According to Josina Anderson of Fox31 Denver, the Packers have reached an agreement with Woodson on an extension to his current contract, likely guaranteeing that Woodson will finish his career in Green Bay.
Terms of the deal have not yet been released but Anderson’s story has been confirmed by the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, making it clear that the extension will be announced at some point in the very near future.
