Fri 1:50 pm – Schefter is now reporting that Marshall will be in Seattle tomorrow to get a deal finished. Broncos looking good to have two first round picks this year.
1:45 pm – Broncos wide receiver Brandon Marshall has done almost everything he possibly could over the past year to ensure his exit from the mile high city this off-season, but after Denver slapped the Pro Bowler with a 1st round tender, it was thought that Marshall would find the list of suitors to severely lacking.
While that seems to be the case for the most part, there is one team that has expressed interest in signing Marshall to an offer sheet, guaranteeing the Broncos a return of at least a first round pick should they choose not to match it.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Seattle is set to discuss a deal with Marshall in the near future and is comfortable with the idea of giving up a first round pick in this year’s draft, thanks in large part to them having two to work with. Their second selection came over last off-season courtesy of the Broncos via a trade during the 2009 draft. Denver acquired cornerback Alphonso Smith with the Seahawks pick in that class.
As always, we’ll keep you posted when more information becomes available.
