With top veterans like LaDainian Tomlinson and Thomas Jones still on the market, you wouldn’t think a guy like Mike Bell would be receiving serious interest to fill a team’s running back issues.

However, the truth is that several clubs, including the Browns and Eagles, are considering pursuing the Saints ‘reserve runner who helped guide New Orleans to their first Super Bowl in 2009. After a 654 yard, four TD performance on the ground last year, Bell is clearly not someone capable of carrying a full-time load, but he remains a solid option as a backup or rotational RB.

Bell, who has also played for the Broncos and Texans in his 4-year career, is supposedly scheduled to visit with the Seahawks as well, but if a deal falls through between the two parties, both the Browns and Eagles are expected to make a move for him. At 26 years old, he would probably provide almost any organization a reliable reserve player for at least a few seasons.
