While they haven’t been as active as they were at the start of last year’s free agency period, Denver has lined up several visits with free agent players throughout the day, in an attempt to find the key role players they need to solidify their club this off-season.
According to the Denver Post, the Broncos are scheduled to meet with cornerback Nathan Jones (Dolphins) and offensive tackle Tony Pashos (49ers). Neither player will break the bank with a major contract offer, but would provide Denver with upgrades at positions of need, which is exactly what they need to achieve in head coach Josh McDaniels’ second trip through the market with the club.
The National Football Post reported earlier that the Broncos will visit with defensive tackle Justin Bannan (Ravens) and are interested in speaking with defensive lineman Dwan Edwards (Ravens). Both Bannan and Edwards would be huge gets for Denver, who has a major need for more consistent playmakers up front on their defensive line.
The final visit lined up for today is with center Rex Hadnot (Browns) and with Casey Wiegmann rolling out of town, it’s likely that Hadnot will be a priority for the Broncos.
