If you missed this week’s action on Sunday, you’ll probably be kicking yourself this morning, as week 11 certainly did not disappoint fans of game that enjoy watching the underdog triumph against the big boys in the league.
The NFL has long been known for its parity, and in spite of there being a slight imbalance of sorts this season between the haves and have nots, there have been no shortage of exciting finishes and/or wacky plays to keep you glued to the TV set in anticipation each week.
With that in mind, here’s quick look at how things played out this week in the AFC East… we’ll have more from the rest of the league as the day progresses, so be sure to stop back by for that.
Jets @ Patriots - All week long, the Patriots were forced to defend their head coach’s decisions after a poor showing late against the Colts cost them a much needed win on the road. But with Tom Brady at his best once again and the lowly Jets in town, the Patriots stepped up in a big way by picking off four passes from Mark Sanchez en route to a 31-14 victory.

Bills @ Jaguars – With Dick Jauron finally out of the picture in Buffalo, the Bills had hopes of turning their season around by winning on the road in Jacksonville. The Jags had their own plans though, and came through in the clutch with an 18-15 victory that will keep their slim playoff hopes alive, at least for another week.

Dolphins @ Panthers – This Thursday night showdown turned into a showcase for the seemingly born again Ricky Williams, who charged his way through the Panthers defense en route to three touchdowns. Neither team could afford to lose this one, with playoff aspirations on the line, and Miami came out from the very beginning on a mission to take home a much needed victory. And they did just that in winning 24-17.
