According to the Associated Press, former Chicago Bears icon William “Refrigerator” Perry has received a good diagnosis and will be upgraded to fair condition by doctors in South Carolina. Perry, 46, had been admitted to the hospital because of complications with Guillain-Barre Syndrome, a chronic inflammation disorder of the peripheral nerves.
Perry was a dominant defensive tackle for the Bears throughout the 1980s, helping them to their Super Bowl title in 1985. He also won a national title with Clemson in 1981.
