St. Louis won an important battle earlier this evening, convincing CB Ron Bartell to stay with the Rams instead of signing elsewhere this off-season.
According to Adam Schefter, Bartell and the Rams agreed to a new deal that will pay him $28 million over four seasons, with $13.5 million of that guaranteed.
Bartell had entertained a proposal by the Saints over the weekend, even flying down to New Orleans to meet with the team, but in the end St. Louis won out by offering him more money overall. Bartell was the Rams most consistent performer in their defensive backfield last season, starting all 16 games and notching three interceptions.
