After they traded their backup QB to the Vikings, the Texans hit the free agent market looking to find a replacement. They found one today, in the form of Dan Orlovsky, who’s spent the past few seasons toiling away in the NFL’s version of purgatory, AKA Detroit.
According to Adam Schefter (NFL.com), Houston has reached an agreement with Orlovsky on a three year deal, worth $9.15 million. Orlovsky will immediately become the team’s second string QB, behind incumbent starter Matt Schaub, who played well last season in spite of a few injuries suffered along the way.
