After letting future Hall of Fame LB Derrick Brooks hit the street as a free agent this off-season, Tampa Bay had to address their depth at the position sooner rather than later.
They probably waited around a bit longer than some of their fans would’ve liked, but today they took care of that potential problem by signing free agent LB Angelo Crowell (Bills).
Crowell gives the Bucs a nice young addition on the strong side of their linebacking corps, and should help the Tampa show more speed on defense next season. He has spent his entire career to this point in Buffalo, but the Bills never seemed eager to bring him back this off-season.
Terms of the deal were not readily available.
