Losman headed to NYC?

It may sound a bit far fetched at this point, given the Jets stated desire to improve their QB depth chart through the draft, but the fine folks over at ESPN seem to think that a J.P. Losman-Jets marriage in the near future is a very real probability.

The Jets have a deep void right now at that position, after Brett Favre made up his mind (we think) to finally retire, and will be in the market for a starting caliber QB one way or another.

Losman didn’t do much last year to distinguish himself when he had the opportunity to play and as such, he’ll have a much more difficult time in selling himself as a legitimate starting QB this off-season. But that being said, the lack of talent available will play to his favor during the free agency period, and he could very well end up getting a solid contract from a club in need of an experienced QB.

Every day there is another Jets QB talk. Too bad there aren’t any standout QB’s available right now.
