Adam Schefter (NFL.com) is reporting that Titans DT Albert Haynesworth has decided to put off any talks of re-signing with Tennessee until he has had a chance to take a run through the free agent market later this month.

Haynesworth could very well end up becoming the league’s highest paid defender when things are all said and done, given his status as the premier defensive tackle in the game right now. Knowing that the Titans were hopeful of re-signing him before he could hit the the open market, but talks never really materialized.
