According to Adam Teicher (KC Star), the Chiefs have finalized contracts with seven new assistant coaches, but have not yet released their specific responsibilities for the upcoming season.

Here’s the list:

Joel Collier, Gary Gibbs, Steve Hoffman, Bill Muir, Clancy Pendergast, Pat Perles, and Dedric Ward

The team has also decided to retain Chan Gailey, Tim Krumrie, Bob Bicknell, and Joe D’Alessandris from former head coach Herm Edwards’ staff.

It will be interesting to see what duties the Chiefs end up assigning this crew, especially Pendergast and Gibbs, who both come to the team with significant experience in coordinating NFL defenses.
