New York Giants wide receiver Amani Toomer is expected to take a look elsewhere once the NFL’s free agency period commences in February. It’s not likely that he’ll draw much interest given his age (34), but as the Giants are currently overloaded with young possession receivers, Toomer may not have a place left in New York’s offense once the season begins next fall.
Teams that are in need of a solid over-the-middle receiver who is reliable on third down will be the best fit for the 14 year veteran, and although injuries are always a concern for players at Toomer’s age, he’s in great shape and is seemingly ready to contribute to a team looking for leadership in their WR corps.
