Shanahan puts KC rumors to rest

According to Adam Schefter (NFL.com), former Broncos head coach Mike Shanahan has no plans to become the next head coach of the Kansas City Chiefs anytime soon, silencing all the rumors flying around that claimed the contrary

Schefter reiterated that Shanahan has had no contact with the Chiefs and that he plans on staying put this season instead of taking a new position, which counters Chris Mortensen’s (ESPN) report that said that the two sides were reportedly close to consumating a deal in the near future.

This was the season for new, young coaches to take over. Next year, it will be guys like Cowher, Shanahan, and Schottenhiemer that land the jobs.
